This painting of two bull elk preparing for battle was featured by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation USA in 1997. In the spring of that year I was fortunate enough to have been successfully juried to the Pacific Rim Wildlife Art Show in Seattle, Washington. There I met art collectors from all over the world, including representatives of the RMEF of Montana. They urged me to submit this piece to the organizations art program and I was lucky enough to later become one of their featured artists for that year.
